Fall Equinox 2012

On Saturday, September 22nd at 8:49 AM Mountain Daylight Time, we celebrate the Fall Equinox as the sun crosses the celestial equator making its journey south towards the winter solstice (the shortest day of the year).

The fall equinox marks the astrological ending of summer. The word equinox means “equal night.” At this time the duration of the day is equal to that of the night, an event which occurs only twice a year.

This transition is a powerful time that will bring forth great opportunity and intense challenge. During the fall equinox it is important review our accomplishments and failures before taking the next step ahead. It is an excellent time for a ritual or ceremony to honor a new dream for the future. It should be a vision that excites and inspires forward movement and embraces the change happening all around us.

And above all else, please remember to enjoy the flagrancy of the times! 😀
