Brain Integration
Crossinology Brain Integration Technique (BIT)
What is BIT?
BIT is a technique based on principles of Applied Physiology, kinesiology (muscle monitoring) and acupressure. BIT assesses and corrects learning difficulties in children and adults, specifically relieving stress as it affects learning, concentration and performance.
BIT is completely non-invasive and is suitable for people of all ages. In fact, most clients report that BIT is a very soothing and relaxing experience.
What does BIT do?
The human brain performs extremely complicated electro-magnetic functions and, like any other organ, can be affected by stress. In such a situation areas of the logical and creative thinking centers shut down and give way to a “fight or flight” response. With this overdrive in the central nervous system, the synchronization of right and left brain function is lost and the brain cannot process correctly. BIT re-patterns brain activity and alleviates learning difficulties.
Who is BIT for?
Virtually everyone can benefit from BIT. This treatment helps all types of learning difficulties experienced in attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD), sensory integration, dyslexia, closed head trauma, traumatic brain injury, autistic spectrum disorders and trauma. BIT enhances learning abilities and improves comprehension, reading, spelling and coordination for children as well as for adults. Learning difficulties can manifest in the following ways:
- Difficulty concentrating
- Inability to read for pleasure
- Poor reading comprehension (despite being a fast or fluent reader)
- Shortened attention span
- Poor coordination
- Difficulty with spelling
- Difficulty with mathematics (concepts as well as times tables)
- Impulsive responses
- Failure to understanding consequences or relation between cause and effect
- Poor time management (thus projects are often left incomplete)
- Nervous breakdown
- Emotional instability
